Article 1 — Purpose and scope of application
These general terms and conditions of sale (GTCS) apply to all sales of admission tickets for the Expogast event, organized by Luxexpo S.A, whose registered office is located at 10, Circuit de la Foire Internationale, L-1347 Luxembourg, registered with the Luxembourg Trade and Companies Register under number B10254, VAT number LU11307242 (hereinafter the “Organizer”).
Any ticket purchase implies unconditional acceptance of these GTCS.
These GTCS govern, in particular, the sale of tickets, the conditions of purchase, access to the event, cancellation, refunds, etc., and apply regardless of the payment method used.
Article 2 — Tickets
Tickets are sold via the INWINK platform. Each ticket grants access to the event for the date and times indicated on it at the time of purchase.
The ticket is personal and must be presented in paper format or on an electronic device at the entrance.
The Organizer reserves the right to refuse access to any person who does not present a valid ticket.
Article 3 — Prices and payment
Prices are indicated in euros, all taxes included (including Luxembourg VAT at the applicable rate).
Payment is made online at the time of purchase, using the payment methods offered on the ticketing platform. The ticket sale is confirmed only after receipt of full payment of its price.
Payment processing is handled by our payment service provider (PSP), Stripe, which the buyer accepts. By proceeding with payment for a ticket, the buyer also accepts Stripe’s terms of use (available at stripe.com/legal), which exclusively govern the secure processing of the banking transaction necessary for payment of the sale price and any possible refund. The Organizer does not have access to the buyer’s full banking details, as these are processed directly by Stripe.
Article 4 — Right of withdrawal
In accordance with the applicable regulations on distance selling, the right of withdrawal does not apply to services related to leisure activities that are to take place on a specific date (Article L.222-9 (7) l) of the Luxembourg Consumer Code).
Consequently, no refund or exchange may be requested after purchase, except in the cases provided for in Article 5.
Article 5 — Cancellation, postponement or modification of the event
In the event of cancellation of the event by the Organizer, tickets will be refunded in full within 30 days following the announcement of the cancellation.
In the event of postponement of the event, tickets remain valid for the new date of the event. The buyer may request a refund within 15 days following the announcement of the postponement if they are unable to attend on the new date.
The Organizer may not be held liable for any ancillary costs incurred by the buyer (transport, accommodation, etc.) in the event of cancellation or postponement of the event.
Article 6 — Loss, theft or duplication of tickets
The Organizer shall not provide any refund or issue any duplicate ticket in the event of loss or theft. Any unauthorized duplication of a ticket will result in the invalidation of all tickets concerned and may give rise to criminal proceedings.
Article 7 — Access and internal regulations
Access to the event may be subject to security checks. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse access to or expel any person who does not comply with the venue’s internal regulations, displayed visibly and accessibly at the event reception, or whose behavior disturbs public order.
Article 8 — Image rights
The buyer is informed that photographs and videos may be taken during the event for communication purposes, and the purchase of an admission ticket constitutes their consent to such recordings, unless they object at the event reception.
Article 9 — Protection of personal data
The personal data collected when purchasing a ticket are processed by the Organizer in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). They are processed to the extent necessary for the proper management of the order and the buyer’s access to and participation in the event. The personal data collected will be retained after the end of the event for the time necessary for the Organizer to ensure that their processing is no longer required for the management of any potential dispute with the buyer, but not beyond one year from the date of the event.
Subject to the buyer’s consent, these personal data may be retained for a longer period and until withdrawal of consent for the purpose of sending communications relating to future events.
Payment data (card number, etc.) are processed directly by Stripe, our payment provider, in accordance with its own privacy policy, and are not retained by the Organizer.
Article 10 — Liability
The Organizer disclaims all liability in the event of theft, loss or damage to visitors’ personal belongings during the event. The buyer is advised not to carry valuables or large sums of money during the event and not to leave them in the cloakroom.
Article 11 — Disputes and applicable law
These GTCS are governed by Luxembourg law. Any dispute relating to their interpretation or performance falls within the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Luxembourg City, unless mandatory consumer protection provisions provide otherwise.
